Celebrate Summer with a Bomb Pop Pool Party
Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Bomb Pop. I received product samples, a party kit, and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Summer always brings back the best childhood memories. Do you remember running around outside with your friends, playing until you were hot, tired, and ready for something cold? For many of us, the highlight of a summer afternoon was hearing the ice cream truck coming down the street. If you were lucky, you had just enough time to run inside, ask your mom for a little change, and make it back before the truck drove away. Those simple moments are exactly why a Bomb Pop pool party feels like such a fun and nostalgic way to celebrate summer with kids.

Bomb Pop ice pops have been a summer favorite for a long time. While there are now several Bomb Pop flavors to choose from, the original Red, White, and Blue Bomb Pop will always be my favorite. There is something special about that classic look and flavor combination that instantly says summer. It is the kind of treat that works perfectly for backyard parties, pool days, family cookouts, and any afternoon when the kids need a cool break from the heat.

My granddaughters invited a few friends over for a pool party to celebrate summer, and we turned the afternoon into a Bomb Pop backyard pool party. It was simple, colorful, and exactly the kind of low-stress summer fun kids love. A pool, a few outdoor games, plenty of towels, and a freezer full of ice pops were all we needed to keep everyone happy.

Bomb Pop supplied the treats along with a fun backyard ball toss game. Did you know Bomb Pop is the official sponsor of Little League® Baseball and Softball? The game was a great addition to the party because it gave the kids something active to do between swimming, snacking, and cooling off with their ice pops.

Poor Aiden is the only boy in our group at the moment. Most of our friends have little girls, although two friends are having boys this year, so hopefully Aiden will soon have a few other dudes to hang out with at our parties. For now, he handled being outnumbered like a champ and jumped right into the fun.

The kids started the party by splashing in the pool and playing together. After a while, they were ready for a snack and a little break from the sun. That is one of the best parts of hosting a summer pool party for kids: the entertainment is built in. They swim, they laugh, they run around, and when they need to cool down, a frozen treat makes everyone happy.

After snack time, they went right back into the pool for more swimming. The backyard was full of summer energy, wet footprints, giggles, and kids asking when the Bomb Pops were coming out.

I was hoping to serve lunch before we got to the ice pops, but we almost had a revolt on our hands. These kids wanted their Bomb Pops! It was pretty hot outside, so we decided to let them cool off with Bomb Pops while we cooked lunch. That turned out to be the right choice. A cold ice pop on a hot day can turn a tired group of kids right back into a happy one.

The kids had a blast. The Bomb Pops were bright, cold, and easy for little hands to enjoy outside. They made the day feel even more like a real summer celebration.

Poor Aiden was outnumbered 6 to 1, but he still had plenty of fun with the group.

If you are looking for an easy summer kid activity that is sure to put smiles on their faces, pick up a couple of boxes of Bomb Pops, invite a few friends over, and fill the pool. A Bomb Pop pool party does not have to be complicated. Keep it simple with swimming, a backyard game, lunch, and plenty of frozen treats.
